Employee workflows

Resolve employee setup questions with the right evidence.

A proposed employee workflow would help an MSP investigate missing records, location mismatches and job assignments. It needs the client’s authorized roster and validation against the Toast access available.

AI safety and security

The AI asks before it acts.

It reads the device and the ticket, proposes only the fixes you enabled, and waits for the approver you chose. Every run is recorded.
  • 1. It reads

The ticket, the device and that client’s knowledge.

  • 2. It asks

The requester, your technicians or the site manager, as you set per fix.

  • 3. It records

The run, the approval and the result, on the ticket or in History.

An approved roster makes a discrepancy meaningful

A candidate check would compare employee records and existing job assignments with the expected roster. That could give your technician a focused set of missing or archived records and location differences to investigate.

Employee changes require a separately approved scope

Toast’s employee documentation reviewed on 28 October 2026 describes write operations for employee records and assignments with appropriate access. Any proposed NetZen workflow would need client approval and coordination with the existing HR or payroll integration.

A POS passcode request needs identity checks

A proposed authorized code-change workflow would require suitable Toast access and approval. A POS passcode is distinct from a Toast Web password; this is not a proposal to reveal existing codes.

Questions MSPs ask

No, employee writes require Toast-granted access with the appropriate permissions. A custom workflow must be validated against that access before use.

The proposal addresses support exceptions, not a replacement payroll integration. The client’s authoritative employee records remain the basis for any permitted change.

From an MSP using NetZen

“We're getting more of the details we need for a ticket. We're able to strategically ask the questions required to get that information at the beginning.”

The trial covers the NetZen platform, not a ready-made Toast integration. Toast workflows need separate scoping and validation; the customer quote describes general support intake.
