Menu audits
Give technicians the menu exceptions worth investigating.
A proposed Toast menu audit would bring location-specific findings into your support process. It would compare published data with the client’s approved baseline, leaving changes with authorized operators.
AI safety and security
The AI asks before it acts.
1. It reads
The ticket, the device and that client’s knowledge.
2. It asks
The requester, your technicians or the site manager, as you set per fix.
3. It records
The run, the approval and the result, on the ticket or in History.
An ended promotion gives the audit a clear question
For example, a restaurant group reports that a promotional price remains after its end date. A proposed check would identify differences between published prices and the approved schedule, including relevant location and pricing variations.
Discuss a promotional-price workflow →Configuration findings can focus the support ticket
Sales categories, menu visibility and prep-station assignments are other candidate comparisons against a client-approved baseline. A difference helps the technician investigate; it does not establish tax policy or prove that a physical printer works.
Connect the proposed findings to support →A menu check is separate from a menu edit
The Toast menu API reviewed on 28 October 2026 exposes published menu data, not a general menu editor. This proposal focuses on exceptions for your MSP while authorized operators retain responsibility for corrections in Toast.
Review the complete proposal →Questions MSPs ask
No, it establishes a difference in the published data being compared. A transaction or terminal issue needs its own investigation.
This proposal does not include automatic menu-price changes. Scope and access must be validated before any Toast-specific workflow is offered.
From an MSP using NetZen
“We're getting more of the details we need for a ticket. We're able to strategically ask the questions required to get that information at the beginning.”

The trial covers the NetZen platform, not a ready-made Toast integration. Toast workflows need separate scoping and validation; the customer quote describes general support intake.
