Is Atera Robin an AI agent? What it does, beside NetZen AI.
Atera describes Robin, previously IT Autopilot, as an autonomous AI technician sold separately from its suite, and AI Copilot as the technician assistant included in every plan (product FAQ, 30 October 2026). NetZen ships one AI, included, that works the ticket from the first question to the fix.

What each AI does
For the end user
NetZen AI: Answers in Teams, Slack, email, chat or phone from that client’s knowledge, asks what your desk would ask, and keeps it on one ticket.
Atera: Robin is advertised for autonomous support with portal, email, Slack and Teams intake; purchased separately.
On the device
NetZen AI: Reads health, apps, patches and logs through its own agent, then runs the fix you approve: disk space, services, installs, clock, your scripts.
Atera: Robin can act on devices, servers and networks within its approved scope; Copilot generates scripts and commands for a technician to run.
For the technician
NetZen AI: The ticket arrives with the findings, the logs and a suggested technician.
Atera: Copilot summarises tickets, drafts replies and suggests scripts, in every plan.
Approvals and record
NetZen AI: Approver per automation; every run recorded with who approved it and the result.
Atera: Robin has an approved action scope; default approvals for your workflows were not verified in this review.

AI safety and security
The AI asks before it acts.
1. It reads
The ticket, the device and that client’s knowledge.
2. It asks
The requester, your technicians or the site manager, as you set per fix.
3. It records
The run, the approval and the result, on the ticket or in History.
The difference that matters: who does the work
A Copilot makes a technician faster at reading a ticket. An AI that works the ticket adds capacity: it has asked the questions, read the client’s knowledge and checked the device before anyone opens it, and it has already run the fix you allow. On NetZen that AI is the product, not an add-on.
The AI service desk that is also your RMM and PSA →What the AI never does
It changes a device only through a fix you enabled, with the approval you set for it; it never answers one client from another client’s knowledge; and knowledge answers and automations go only to the client users you added or synced, while everyone else still reaches your team. Every question it asked, check it ran and fix it made is on the ticket.

Atera describes Robin as an autonomous AI technician purchased separately from its IT suite; AI Copilot is the assistant included in the suite (product FAQ, 30 October 2026). NetZen’s AI agent is included in the technician price.
Atera’s public pages reviewed on 30 October 2026 do not state the model. NetZen runs its language models on Google Cloud Vertex AI, with your data hosted on Google Cloud in the United States.
Yes. Your reviewed PowerShell or Bash scripts run on one device or many, per client, with the approver you set. Scripts the AI drafts wait for a technician before they run.
From an MSP using NetZen
“NetZen is a great fit for MSPs with help desk teams. It can help technicians solve L1 and L2 issues faster, and the team is very responsive to customer feedback.”
